This webinar will provide guidance on caring for immigrant children and families in Connecticut, offering perspectives from health care providers and community members. Participants will learn about the unique experiences and challenges families face, along with updates in relevant federal and state policies. The session will also highlight clinical and advocacy resources and opportunities to support immigrant families through community and advocacy engagement.
Learning objectives:
- Recognize experiences and challenges affecting children in immigrant families, particularly in the context of current federal and state policies.
- Identify and apply resources and best practices that promote safety, health, and culturally responsive care for families and clinical practices.
- Connect with local, state, and national organizations to advocate for and support the health, safety, and rights of immigrant families.
