SESSION DESCRIPTION:

This session will review evidence around prevention of food allergy, including the concept of early food introduction as described in the 2017 National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) Prevention of Peanut Allergy Guidelines.

  • Participants will be able to describe the updated guidelines around early introduction of allergenic foods for the prevention of food allergy.
  • Participants will be able to identify current areas of investigation around skin barrier protection for the prevention of food allergy.
